The “Axe Murderer” Wanderlei Silva (32-10-1), knows he needs to beat Michael Bisping to get back to his winning ways. Loosing 5 out of his last 6 fights is greatly tarnishing Silvas record and if he looses against Bisping it may be to late for Silva to secure another fight under the UFC promotion. However, his late losses have all been at the hands of UFC’s elite fighters, such as Chuck Liddell, Rampage Jackson, Rich Franklin and Mirko Cro Cop.

As good as Bisping is, he is still not quite in the same class of the aforementioned fighters. Michael Bisping (18-2-0) has seemingly bounced back well from his crushing KO loss to Dan Henderson, after beating Denis Kang by TKO. Bisping believes that Wanderlei will not revive his career, because he predicts Wanderlei will not beat him.

Michael Bisping:

“Unfortunately, he’s going to revive his career against me? It just ain’t going to happen,” Bisping says. “I’m the wrong man for the job.”

If Silva is going to get back to his winning ways, he needs to get through Bisping. This will not be an easy fight for either fighter and both could send shockwaves through the middleweight division with a win. If Bisping wins it will further solidify him as a top contender in the division, it’s just to bad Henderson is no longer with UFC for a rematch with Bisping. If Wanderlei wins, it will alarm the middleweight division that he is not done and that the “Axe Murderer” is back. “I need this win” say’s Wanderlei.
