Nate Diaz (15-7) has defeated the Jersey local Jim Miller (21-4) in the headline of UFC on Fox 3 in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Here is the full fight play-by-play.

Round One:
Miller opens quickly with a low leg kick. Miller ties it up against the fence. Both men knee back and forth in the clinch. Miller slips from a knee thrown, but quickly jump up. Diaz tries to start the punching war, but Miller continues to throw kicks in the mix to stifle Diaz. Diaz is starting to land the jab and a straight left lands on the chin and rocks Miller. Diaz follows to the ground and comes close to having his back taken. Diaz escapes as the round ends.

Round Two:
Once again Miller comes out with the kicks. Diaz gets the clinch to the fence with an underhook. The two reset, and Miller misses with a flying knee and the infamous Diaz taunting begins.Diaz gets it to the fenche and Miller drops to one knee to prevent the knees. The two reset. Miller shoots and Diaz grabs a power guillotine. Miller struggles, but is stuck. Miller taps.

Now with Diaz earning his third straight victory, he has been said to have a title shot by UFC president Dana White, against the winner of Ben Henderson vs. Frankie Edgar II, taking place, at UFC 150 on Aug. 11th. Already execs are mentioning a possibility of Daiz vs. Pettis as a no. 1 contender match on the Henderson – Edgar card.
