Former NFL player, Matt Mitrione takes out Tim Hague at UFC Fight for the Troops 2 in Forthood, Texas  via TKO at 2:59 in the first. Mitrione continues his climb to the top of the heavyweight division, improving his MMA record to 4-0. Here is the short play-by-play.


Hague comes out swinging and lands a hook. Hague throws a head kick that misses. Mitrione throws a low leg kick and Hague grabs it. Hague attempts the takedown but Mitrione uses a guillotine to stand back up. The two land inside leg kicks but Hague stumbles down and gets back up. Mitrione continues to land the inside kick. Mitrione injures Hague with a straight left and swarms all over Hague on the way down and finishes.

Matt “Meathead” Mitrione, a relative newbie to the fighting world, currently holds a 4-0 record, two of which came via KO. He was least seen taking down Joey Beltran at UFC 119 via unanimous decision. He is currently training out of Milwaukee, Wisconsinn with team Roufusport.
