Benson Henderson has proven once again that he is the best 155 pound fighter in the world; negating an aggressive brawler in Nate Diaz at UFC on Fox 5 in Seattle, Washington.

It didn’t take long for Henderson to make it apparent who had the better grappling, taking down Diaz, seemingly at will throughout the fight. Henderson also showed the better stand-up, landing the bigger shots through out.¬† Of those shots were a new one as Henderson targeted the thigh of Diaz standing, with ‘punches.’ Proving to setup a big combo, there was plenty of reason to give the sweep decision to the champ.

Official: Benson Henderson defeats Nate Diaz via unanimous decision  50 -43, 50, 43, 50-45

The champ now carries six straight victories, undefeated in the octagon. With key victories over most top contenders, you have to imagine that the champ would like to erase his most recent defeat to Anthony Pettis. Should Pettis get past the very tough Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, we will see a rematch of blockbuster proportions in 2013.
