Following UFC 146 this past Saturday, an elated Dana White told press that he would sit down with former heavyweight champ, Brock Lesnar to talk about a possible return to the octagon. According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer, the meeting between the two did not go well.

Lesnar actually told WWE officials that he met with White but nothing happened out of it. Lesnar reportedly brought up the idea of doing something with UFC but White wasn’t interested. White does not want a pro wrestling connection with UFC and isn’t interested in working with Lesnar while he’s with WWE, despite teasing it at the post-fight press conference.

As the rumor goes, Lesnar suggested integration of himself in both the UFC and WWE in hopes of a cross-over of demographics. Something Dana White has been attempting to avoid, as he feels it blurs the lines between real and unreal. If true, the UFC president was likely disappointed after announcing the possible return of Lesnar at the UFC 146 post-fight press conference.

With Lesnar’s short-lived MMA career, mixed with back-to-back losses, and followed up with a return to the WWE – some fans have written-off the large division I wrestler, as nothing more than a spectacle to generate interest. Whether that is true or not is yet to be seen.
