The numbers are in for UFC Fight Night 58, and it looks like ZUFFA has ended their year on a high note.

Last weekend’s event in Brazil, which was the last of the calendar year, saw Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida score a memorable TKO victory over CB Dollaway in the headliner — and it appeared to score some memorable numbers among viewership as well.

According reports from Sports Business Journal’s John Ourand, the main card attracted an average of 966,000 viewers in its two hour broadcast, representing the highest ratings of any show on FOX Sports 1 last week. The main card represented an increase over the previous UFC Fight Night, which netted 903,000 viewers.

As described by MMA Payout:

Saturday’s event saw a 28% increase over last December’s Fight Night. It was the fourth most-watched UFC Fight Night in FS1 history. According to Nielsen it was the fourth most-watched Fight Night on the network to date in the adult 18-49 demo.

The preliminary bouts, which were also broadcast on FOX Sports 1, drew an average of 626,00 viewers — which was down from UFC Fight Night 57, which drew an average of 777,000 viewers.

Interestingly, Lyoto Machida also headlined the highest-rated UFC Fight Night of 2014, which was also located in Brazil. That night, Machida won a unanimous five-round decision against Gegard Mousasi. That event earned an average rating of 1.4 million viewers in its main card broadcast.
