Finally! Dana White seemingly has found someone to pair with UFC newcomer and boxing vet, James Toney. An August bout between Toney and 10-time UFC Champ Randy Couture is now rumored to be in the works.

Fighters Only was the first to report the rumor and MMA Junkie confirmed today that, the bout is in the works for a headliner spot at UFC 118.

And although UFC 118 has not officially been announced, it is expected to take place on August 28th in Boston. Two big fights are in the works for the upcoming event, including recent winner of the lightweight belt, Frankie Edgar with a rematch against BJ Penn.  As well as Kenny Florian fighting Gray Maynard.

As of now, a weight limit hasn’t been set for the Couture vs. Toney bout. Couture has been recently fighting at light-heavyweight and Toney was considered a heavyweight in his boxing career.

The position of the fight is also unknown at this time, but it most likely will be the headlining event or the co-headliner.

Keep checking back, as we will be posting more info on the bout as news comes in.
