Those of you who guessed that Sage Northcutt – the UFC’s new golden boy and the keeping of all things great and pure – would be getting an easy, no-name opponent for his second trip to the Octagon, well, congrats! You are correct!

Northcutt took out an overmatched Francisco Trevino at UFC 192 in his promotional debut, and he’ll now be taking on Cody Pfister at UFC Fight Night 80 in December (on a Fight Pass event).

Who the heck is Pfister? He’s nobody! I mean, he has fought in the UFC twice, losing to James Moontasri via choke and earning a decision against Yosdenis Cedeno, but he is literally no one you ever heard of.

Gone are the days when the UFC gives its rising stars tough opponents every time they enter the cage. And why should they with Northcutt, who is clearly someone with a lot of “star” potential?
