The ladies are now officially set to make their broadcast debut on Fox as Miesha Tate receives her medical approval. Proving their value as of late, the two ladies, Tate and Liz Carmouche will battle it out after coming off close losses.¬† They’ve been awarded co-headline duties for the upcoming Fox card, led by featherweight champ Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson versus John Moraga. The card is set to take place in the UFC’s return to Seattle on July 27.

Liz Carmouche may have lost her UFC debut to current champ Ronda Rousey at UFC 157 on Feb. 23, but she gained a huge following — being the only female to have the champ in serious trouble. Early in the fight Carmouche took the back of Rousey and had a viscous neck crank torqued. The heart of the champ prevailed however as she was arm-barred with only 10 seconds left in the first.

Miesha Tate, a former bantamweight champ at Strikeforce Promotions, had also suffered defeat in her opportunity to earn a title shot and a coaching gig on the next season of TUF. Even in a loss we saw an inspiring display of heart from “Cupcake.” It was a back-and-forth brawl that ended with a third round TKO stoppage in Cat Zingano’s favor as Tate ate bludgeoning¬† knees and strikes that dropped her to the canvas. Shortly after, Tate disagreed with the stoppage, blaming Ref. Kate Winslow for the loss.
