Conor McGregor is making arrangements to head to Brazil for next Saturday’s UFC 179 card. The event features Jose Aldo defending his featherweight title against Chad Mendes.

McGregor, coming off the destruction of Dustin Poirier, was declared the “next” contender to the title by UFC president Dana White recently, but he could be interested in taking a fight before cashing in.

“Myself, Uncle Frank (Fertitta) and the rest of La Familia are in the process of selecting another victim to eliminate in the meantime,” McGregor wrote on Twitter. “Because Aldo’s body is weak and Mendes is 2foot nothing, they will not be ready to challenge me for the throne until mid next year.”

The Irish fighter known as “Notorious” has taken the UFC by storm, winning his first four fights – including three via finish. His interviews and comments have helped rile up the rest of the division, but also push his name into the spotlight.
