According to UFC Tonight reporter Ariel Helwani, unless Nick Diaz is offered a rematch with Georges St. Pierre or a shot at Anderson Silva, he will hang up his gloves and pursue other interests.

Diaz is coming off a unanimous decision defeat to the welterweight champ St. Pierre at UFC 158. Before his title shot he once again failed to find success losing via unanimous decision to Carlos Condit at UFC 143.

The Stockton native was able to put together an impressive record of 26-9-1, and defended his Strikeforce welterweight title three times before vacating the strap to return to the UFC and square off with BJ Penn. Diaz brutally beat Penn in a three round war.

Despite his bad boy attitude Diaz is still beloved by many fight fans for his intense scrappy style.

He will leave the fight game with 13 knockout and 8 submission victories, and notable wins over Penn, Paul Daley, Robbie Lawler, K.J. Noons, Scott Smith, Frank Shamrock, Josh Neer, Jeremy Jackson, and Chris Lytle.
