We may not get to see the Stockton brawler in the octagon against champ Georges St-Pierre anytime soon, but you still will have a chance to catch Diaz compete in the first ever World Jiu-Jitsu Expo on May 12 in Long Beach, CA. The former Strikeforce champ will be testing his Jiu-Jitsu against renowned BJJ expert Braulio Estima.

Estima is acclaimed in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with his 13 gold medals in the sport ranging back to 2001. Hailing from the Gracie Barra academy in Birmingham, England, Estima carries recent victories over the likes of Andre Galvao (inverted triangle choke) and Ronaldo “Jacare” Souze which took place in a super fight at the 2011 Abu Dhabi Combat Club Submission Wrestling Championships.

On paper Diaz looks to be the heavy under dog, as he has not competed in the sport in over two years. Regardless, the Cesar Gracie BJJ black belt has no qualms with jumping right back in the Jiu-Jitsu ‘mix’ against a top opponent. For tickets to the event check out WorldJiuJitsuExpo.com.
