As of last night UFC President Dana White pretty much stated that Nick Diaz will be fighting Carlos Condit for a rematch of the interim welterweight title. The contract papers are waiting to be signed and the bout will be officially announced sometime this Friday (Feb. 10th).

But now, MMA Junkie has released a report that the bout is already a no-go. According to the site, when they contacted Diaz’ manager Cesar Gracie earlier today, he stated that the bout is in fact not a reality, but then went on to decline any further comments.

Alleged MMA insider @FrontRowBrian announced via his Twitter page “*BREAKING NEWS* Carlos Condit vs. Nick Diaz II will NOT happen. An issue arose from Nick’s camp last night. Nick will NOT be able to compete”. Although, information on what the “issue” has not been clarified as of yet.

But, according to Condit’s manager Malki Kawa, the rematch is set to happen, as he confirmed via his Twitter earlier today.

Unfortunately, it seems as if the real truth about the rematch has yet to be revealed. We will update as more news comes in.
