Now that Carlos Condit has avenged his 2009 loss to Martin Kampmann, and is back on the winning track, it remains to be see who the UFC will match the #2 ranked welterweight up against next.

While there’s some all-star scraps scheduled for UFC 167, and there’s been talk of possible rematches with Rory MacDonald, Jake Ellenbegrer an even Nick Diaz, Condit recently floated another name, Matt Brown. Condit recently had this to say about possibly fighting “The Immortal”, while appearing on MMA Radio:

“He’s been on a tear, and it’d be really exciting for the fans,” Condit said about Brown, who has won six straight bouts and five of them via stoppage.

“I’d like that fight, and we’ll have to see what happens,” “The Natural Bork Killer” said, who lost by UD to Johny Hendricks and Georges St. Pierre before facing Kampmann at UFC FN 27.

Yes, Carlos and likely a bazillion MMA fans would like to see that bout happen. Now recently the UFC announced it was targeting Brown versus former Strikeforce champ Tarec Saffiedine, but it remains to be seen when the latter will be able to compete due to injury. Saffiedine will reportedly know more in the next couple of weeks, as to when he can resume training and in turn, fight.
