Former Strikeforce fighter Nan-Shon Burrell will be taking on Stephen Thompson at UFC 160 as a replacement for the injured, Amir Sadollah.
The UFC announced Wednesday that former Ultimate Fighter Winner Sadollah would not be competing and would be replaced.
Burrell holds an impressive record of 9-2 and is coming off a successful UFC debut and unanimous decision victory over Yuri Villefort at UFC 157. Out of his nine victories Burrell sports 6 knockouts, which is a testament to his striking skills.
Thompson, the former undefeated kick boxer had tremendous hype going into his UFC debut last February at UFC 143, and he rose to the occasion knocking out Dan Stittgen with a head kick. However, at UFC 145 Thompson failed to remain undefeated inside the octagon losing via unanimous decision to Matt Brown.
UFC 160 is set to take place on May 25, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The card will be headlined by the rematch of UFC heavyweight champ Cain Velasquez, and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva.
