The injury bug rears his ugly head once again. Following back and forth bickering on Twitter between heavyweights Matt Mitrione and Brendan Schaub, we anticipated a grudge match set for July 27 at the Key Arena in Seattle. Unfortunately that match has now been moved to a later time due to “Meathead” injuring himself (undisclosed) in training for the fight.

Wrestling stand-out, Schaub was last seen putting a stop to his two fight losing streak with a decision win over knockout artist Lavar Johnson at UFC 157. Since then “The Hybrid” has been hungry to get back in the cage and build up another streak as he had after his TUF stint, where he came in at number two to Roy Nelson.

Mitrione also suffered recent ups and downs, rebounding with a recent knockout over Phillip De Fries at UFC on Fuel TV 9. He also recently took over headlines with his controversial comments on transgender fighter Fallon Fox, which led to a short-lived suspension by the UFC.

A replacement for the upcoming UFC on Fox 8 card is yet to be made, however the card is still jam packed with three showcase matches including the title fight between Demetrious Johnson vs. John Moraga.
