UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson was asked about any potential super-fights interesting him after he took out Joseph Benavidez Saturday night at UFC on FOX 9.
Following his win over John Moraga earlier this year, “Mighty Mouse” mentioned the idea of moving up and taking on another fellow UFC champion. He pushed that talk to the side on the FOX Sports Live post-fight show.
“Down the road, if super-fights come my way, my coaches and I are all for it,” Johnson said. “Each time (UFC president) Dana White talks about super-fights, they are gonna get a lot of money.
“I am all for it.”
Johnson (19-2-1) has now earned three successful title defenses and is unbeaten in his last six fights overall.
For now, though, Johnson said he plans to “go back home and keep getting better.”
