The UFC has released a new video series called the “Fighter Diary,” showing off Saturday night’s co-headliner Miesha Tate, talking on her bout with Cat Zingano. The former champ doesn’t just plan to put a stop to her opponents undefeated record, but make a ‘bold statement’ in the fashion in which she finishes it. So much in fact that she’s hoping it leaves champ Ronda Rousey in fear.

“I want that impressive win, I want to make that bold statement, and I want Ronda to be scared when she watches me fight this Saturday,” said Tate in a UFC Fighter Diary. “I want her to know I’m coming for her.”

Plenty of motivation on Tate’s end as she looks to make her successful UFC debut.

“I want Cat to feel like it was a mistake calling me out in the first place,” said Tate. “And I want to get my first win in the UFC.”

Much has been made of ‘UFC jitters’ in this bout, as neither women has been on the UFC platform yet. For Tate, she says it’s a non-issue, but believes it will be for her challenger.

“Cat being overwhelmed before the fight even really starts and me having a mental edge over her is the reality that I believe is going to be true, because I know that this is a lot to take on. This is the first time she’s probably ever had to deal with so much, and it can be wearing if you’re not prepared for that.”
