Michael Bisping – oh ye of the TUF 3 season and the years of Octagon service since – just had surgery on his elbow. Curiously enough, his present state has no bearing on how well he’d fair in a title fight right at this very moment. Because, you know, he’d get slaughtered by Chris Weidman (or Luke Rockhold, or Yoel Romero, or Jacare, etc.) either way…

Seriously though, hopefully he’ll be back soon. He was supposed to face Robert Whittaker at UFC 193, and this business with his elbow put him on the sidelines. Whittaker is an okay opponent; however, the real money bout will be a rematch with Vitor Belfort. Since Belfort was juiced out of his mind when they first fought, and the Brazilian is off the sauce now, there’s a very good chance that Bisping will get some sweet revenge.

Literally out of surgery minutes ago. Ouch!around 6 loose bodies removed from my elbow. # painmeds #woozy
