Akira Corassani will look to record his third straight Octagon victory on November 30th, when he battles featherweight Maximo Blanco at the TUF 18 Finale. The card, which will feature flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson taking on Joseph Benavidez, will be hosted by the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

Since competing on the 14th Season of TUF, Corassani (11-3) has scored decision wins over Andy Ogle and most recently Robbie Peralta. The 31 year-old, Swedish fighter has gone 4-1 in his last five fights.

In Blanco’s last outing, the Venezuelan worked his way to a UD win over Sam Sicilia at the TUF 17 Finale in April. The 29 year-old made his Octagon debut last April and lost by split decision to Marcus Brimage at UFC 145. The only other man to defeat the Strikeforce vet in his last five tilts is lightweight contender Pat Healy.

It should also be noted that during Blanco’s run with Sengoku, he recorded five wins via TKO or KO in seven fights. That’s impressive.

According to a report from MMA Junkie.com, Blanco’s management has announced the fight and the featherweight has also confirmed the news on his Facebook page.

So, that’s an interesting featherweight addition to the card, which could feature some memorable action. To date, there have been four bouts confirmed for the TUF 18 Finale outside of the show’s actual finals. In addition to Johnson-Benavidez, the card will also feature Gray Maynard-Nate Diaz and Walter Harris-Jared Rosholt.
