Even though former light heavyweight champ Lyoto Machida just earned another shot at the title after defeating Ryan Bader at this past weekend’s UFC event,”The Dragon” is already planning a fight before taking on the winner of Jones vs. Henderson.

Earlier today, Machida spoke on MMA Junkie Radio, and made this comment about his near future plans;

“It doesn’t matter what is my next fight, I would like to fight for the title, but even another fight I would fight.”

Many would had thought that Shogun Rua would get the next title shot, but UFC president Dana White said that what Machida did behind the scenes, was what really made him true title contention.

“‘Shogun’ has not been terrorizing me for another shot at Jon Jones, Lyoto Machida has. Lyoto Machida wants it.”

As for Machida, he doesn’t care who he fights, just as long as he’s the champ again.

“I just want to be a champion again, it doesn’t matter who my opponent is.”
