An interesting rematch between two former champions is in the cards for April, as Lyoto Machida and Dan Henderson are expected to square off at UFC on FOX 19.

The card takes place April 16 and is scheduled for Tampa, Florida. Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson is the rumored main event, leaving Machida-Henderson to the FOX main card.

Back in 2013, Machida (22-7) earned a split decision over Henderson (31-14). Since that win, though, the 37-year-old “Dragon” has gone just 3-4, including back-to-back losses via finish to Yoel Romero and Luke Rockhold.

Last June, Romero landed with elbows to finish Machida, becoming the first fighter to stop him with strikes since Mauricio “Shogun” Rua did in 2010 for the UFC light heavyweight title. His wins since the “Hendo” victory have come over C.B. Dollaway, Gegard Mousasi and Mark Munoz.

Henderson (31-14), one of the more well-decorated fighters in MMA history, has lost six of his last eight overall. Last November, Vitor Belfort finished him for the second time with a head-kick in Brazil.

Much like Machida, Henderson has competed against the best of the best, falling to UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier, former champion Rashad Evans and Mousasi around wins over Tim Boetsch and Rua.

The bout would join a lineup that includes Michael Chiesa-Beneil Dariush, Evans-Rua and Bethe Correia-Raquel Pennington.

News of the bout was first reported by Combate out of Brazil.
