The UFC has announced its first ever Sweden UFC card and its headliner. The event will be titled UFC on Fuel 2, and will take place on April 14th. Originally planned to headline Lil’ Nog vs Dan Henderson, Henderson refused. The bout will now be Lil’ Nog vs Sweden’s own Alexander Gustafsson.
If Gustafsson sounds unfamiliar, that’s because this is his first headline bout, but has been on a four-fight win-streak, all with finishes in the UFC. We recently saw “The Mauler” take out veteran Vladimir Matyushenko via TKO in round one at UFC 141.
Nogueira will be looking to string together his second victory after defeating Tito Ortiz at UFC 140 via TKO with viscous body punches. Back to back losses to wrestlers Ryan Bader and Phil Davis dropped the former amateur back down the packing order.
