Once the face of the UFC organization, Chuck Liddell has not lost any of that confidence in his striking that led to his astounding knockout reel. When “The Ice Man” was asked about his skills, matching up to pound for pound great Anderson Silva recently, Chuck had no issue nonchalantly saying he would of defeated “The Amazing Spider.”

“I would beat him, I always said that I would. I have the advantage in weight and height, so it would be more likely that I would beat him. But Anderson is one of my favorite fighters.” – Fighters Only

Unfortunately, we have a better chance of seeing Tito Ortiz coming out of retirement and reclaiming the light heavyweight title than Chuck Liddell’s return to fight Silva anytime soon. If only it ever happened, say seven years ago. Remember, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard from brash Chuck either. Last year we heard his willingness to come out of retirement — for a title fight…

“The only thing that would even make me think about it is if they gave me a shot at the title. So, we’ll see. For now? Yeah. Jon Jones. I don’t wanna come back as a sideshow. It’s just one of those things. It’s not something I wanna do.”

Not quite the way it works Chuck (usually), but you’re still a legend.
