After Shane Carwin’s awesome first round KO of Frank Mir at this previous Saturday’s UFC 111, he became the new Interim Heavyweight Champion and also gets the chance to win the Heavyweight title from Brock Lesnar. And he [Lesnar] had no qualms about rubbing the loss in long-time nemesis Mir’s face. Brock reported to Yahoo! Sports that;

“Frank’s time is done. This is the new evolution of the heavyweight division. Brock Lesnar, Shane Carwin, Cain Velasquez, Junior dos Santos, we’re the guys in this division.”

But I, like many other fans as well I’m sure, are disappointed that we won’t get to see Lesnar take some revenge on the big-mouthed Frank Mir. Dana White also admitted that Brock himself was a little upset that he wouldn’t be fighting Mir.

“He [Lesnar] was hoping Frank was going to win because he wanted to fight Frank Mir again,” White stated at the post-fight press conference. “When Shane won [Lesnar] goes, ‘Oh well. I guess it’s Shane.’ I say it all the time, He’s a moody guy and ever since this thing happened to him, his disposition has been a lot better. He’s a lot more thankful and he’s happy to be back and competing again.”

Lesnar is expected to make his comeback fight against Carwin on July 3rd.
