Kyle Noke finally looks to make the drop to the welterweight division after two consecutive losses at 185. In his debut, he takes on Charlie Brenneman who will be no easy task.

Kyle Noke is well known for being the bodyguard of the late and great Steve Irwin. After his death it took some time for him to rededicate to the sport of MMA. After a stint in Elite XC, Noke was able to make it into the UFC by way of The Ultimate Fighter. He didn’t win the show, but won three straight fights with finishes in his post-TUF career. Unfortunately, being undersized became a problem with two straight losses. He has contemplated a drop to 170 before, but until now it was not reality.

For his first fight Noke will take on Charlie Brenneman, who has experienced some of the highest highs and lowest lows in his UFC career. After going  3-1 in the octagon, his winning streak was capped by a last minute bout against Rick Story. But then, Brenneman went 1-2 in his next three bouts, and was finished in both of those losses. He stole all of Story’s momentum with that win, but it was squandered with the defeats he had afterwards. Both fighters need to win to keep the momentum in their UFC careers alive.
