Despite the buzz about newcomer James Toney having a bout with Kimbo Slice, Kimbo will instead be going against Matt Mitrione at UFC 113 in May. The fight was made official today, and will complete the main card for the event.

This bout has been rumored about for quite awhile, and was even announced last month by the organization at UFC 110. But the bout was never added to the official event card on the UFC website, and quickly after James Toney signed with the UFC, rumors surfaced that Kimbo would fighting Toney instead.

A few reports suggested that perhaps the Kimbo vs. Mitrione fight would be moved to a card for another event, such as the potential April 17th UFC Fight Night.

UFC 113 will be taking place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and will be featuring a long awaited bout between Shogun Rua and light heavyweight champ Lyoto Machida.
