Kelvin Gastelum is The Ultimate Fighter 17 champion. The soft-spoken 21 year old pulled off the upset at the finale and defeated Uriah Hall by split decision. Many felt Hall was destined to be the tournament champion and add Gastelum to his list of highlight reel finishes after he walked through every opponent inside the house. But the youngest contestant to ever appear on TUF derailed the Hall hype train and earned the six-figure UFC contract along with a new motorcycle.

Gastelum used both striking and wrestling skills to hurt and neutralize Hall. He tagged Hall with a couple clean powerful shots on the feet and took him down consistently. Hall was not completely dominated the entire fight but by the end of the three rounds it was clear who won the fight. Hall was never able to do a significant damage on the feet.

Official decision: Kelvin Gastelum def. Uriah Hall via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)
