“Now Aldo is out with foot injury. Main and co main in the same day! Another amazing day at the UFC.”

Those are the words of UFC president Dana White just moments ago. What a day for the sport as the third injured UFC fighter is reported in the day, which happens to also be the headliner of UFC 153. Jose Aldo will now be sidelined thanks to a foot injury that he originally tried to work through after being hit by a car while riding his motorcycle in Brazil earlier this month.

The UFC will now look to save the event with replacements of both the main and co-main as it was only two hours earlier that it was reported that Quinton “Rampage” Jackson was out of the bout with Glover Teixiera with an undisclosed injury.

With Edgar without an opponent it is unknown at this time if the UFC will be able to find a willing adversary that can still headline the card. Edgar would of been only the third champ to change class and challenge for a belt, with the first ones being Randy Couture and BJ Penn. The dream match between the two champs will now have to wait as of now.
