Just days after the announcement of the super fight between featherweight champ Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar, a report from UOL Esporte in Brazil comes out that the 145 lb. champ was struck by a car this weekend while riding his motorcycle. Fortunately the durable Aldo was said to walk away from the accident unscathed, except with small scratches.

“Yes, I had a motorcycle accident, but it was no big deal,” Aldo told UOL Esporte’s Mauricio Deho in his native Portuguese. “No, there’s no problem (about fighting Oct. 13). I’m going to the gym right now.”

Head coach of  “Scarface,” Andre Pedernieiras has since asked the champ to stick to public transportation until his title fight on Oct. 13. The events headliner has agreed and we are still expected to see UFC 154: Aldo vs. Edgar in Rio, Brazil.
