While the heated rivalry between Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate maybe leading the way in the UFC ‘s’biggest beef’ department, don’t look now, but there’s a fair sized one brewing between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier. Of course, Cormier kept the ball rolling earlier in the year by calling out the UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion, and then more recently, the heavyweight announced he plans to ask for an immediate title shot at 205 after UFC 166.

Although no ones making plans for Jones-Cormier just yet, since they’re set to fight Alexander Gustafsson and Roy Nelson respectively, it’s an intriguing bout that fans seem to be interested in. When Jones was asked Monday about Cormier’s plan to call him out on October 19th, however, “Bones” didn’t exactly hold back (quote via MMA Junkie.com):

“DC is a guy who really wants to be famous. I don’t think he wants to work hard. I think he just wants to be famous. You can see it in his physique; you can see it in his card.”

“I hate answering questions about him,” Jones said. “He’s just not relevant to me. There’s so many great fighters in the light-heavyweight division. He’s not even top five in his division. I’m not sure if he is.

“He has, like, 20,000 Twitter followers. He has short reach, bad cardio (and) he looked terrible in his last fight. It’s like, I’m not worried about him at all.”

Not exactly a ton of respect being demonstrated here huh?  Oh, and as far as Twitter (which is the real dig here clearly), Cormier has closer to 60,000 followers rather than 20k. It will be interesting to hear what the two have to say about each other if the match-up starts to become a reality.
