UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier brought Ultimate Media Day to a stop Monday.

The two, who will meet in September at UFC 178 for the title, faced off after conducting interviews. After getting nose-to-nose, Cormier put his hands on Jones and shoved him.

“Bones” responded and threw a punch at “DC,” and the two – along with the stage – all went down. Dave Sholler was on hand and tried to keep the two apart, but failed.

And here’s several tweets that the two fighters exchanged immediately after the incident:

UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez, a close friend and training partner of Cormier’s, posted on Twitter “Not sure Cormier and Jones are going to be able to wait till September 27!!! Lol.” Velasquez attended the same junior college, Iowa Central, as Jones, with both winning national titles.

Sholler also made sure to let everyone know he was fine after, posting on Twitter, “Never a dull moment, eh?”

UFC president Dana White was not on hand for the ordeal, posting that he “just landed in Bora Bora for my first vacation in a while and it’s starting off perfect!!!”
