Just when it seemed as if Jon Jones was on the right track, the former UFC light heavyweight champion has come under fire once more.

According to a report by KRQE News 13 out of New Mexico, Jones is due in court this week after being cited for driving without a license, registration and insurance by the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Deputy.

Last year, “Bones” was stripped of his UFC title by the promotion and suspended following a hit-and-run incident involving a pregnant female. He also was convicted of DWI in New York back in 2012 and was ticketed a year before that in Albuquerque for driving on a suspended license.

The current incident in question happened on January 31, several days before the UFC announced plans for Jones vs. Daniel Cormier in April. He is due in traffic court on Wednesday morning.

UPDATE: Bernallio County DA spokesperson Kayla Anderson told MMAFighting.com that the DA’s office will not be filing a formal probation violation for the incident. Instead, the state’s department of Probation and Parole will handle that.
