You think you know a fighter, and then they go and change.

At UFC Fight Night 135, Joanne Calderwood – the TUF 20 vet from Scotland who talks like she has a mouthful of marbles – shucked her “Muay Thai specialist” mantle and went all “submission specialist” on us, tapping out opponent Kalindra Faria like it wasn’t no thang.

Faria did great controlling where the fight went, taking “JoJo” down, pounding on her, and even mounting her at one point.

But then comes the triangle choke attempt from the bottom, and when that wasn’t working, Calderwood added the armbar. Faria tapped out, and since this in the fairly new female flyweight division, the win probably puts JoJo in title contention or something.

Result: Joanne Calderwood def. Kalindra Faria vis Submission (Triangle Choke/Armbar) at 4:57
