James Vick, who advanced to the semifinals of The Ultimate Fighter in 2012, will put his 8-0 record on the line this April at UFC 197 against Glaico Franca.

Officials announced the addition to the ever-building event on Tuesday.

The card features a double-title night, as Henry Cejudo goes after Demetrious Johnson’s flyweight title and Jon Jones gets his shot at re-claiming the light heavyweight belt vs. Daniel Cormier.

Vick has earned two submission wins in the first round since debuting in the Octagon back in 2013. That fight was a 58-second victory over Ramsey Nijem with he locked up a guillotine choke.

This past May, Vick earned a win in 4:53 over Jake Matthews with the same hold. Between those two fights, the 28-year-old Texan downed Nick Hein and Valmir Lazaro via decision.

During his time on TUF, Vick mowed through Dakota Cochrane, Daron Cruickshank and Joe Proctor before falling to Michael Chiesa in the final four. His win over Cruickshank was a first round knee that ended the fight.

Franca (13-3) earned his 10th win his last 11 fights when he debuted with the UFC in Brazil, scoring a submission over Fernando Bruno at UFC 190. Of his 13 career victories, 12 have been by either knockout or submission.
