Johny Hendricks has become a big name in MMA thanks to his battering ram of a left hand and his awe inspiring run lately, rather than smack talk, but more recently “Bigg Rigg” has taken  the verbal warfare up a notch. Now, it’s not like Hendricks has been blasting Georges St. Pierre personally or saying he’s overrated, but he has been picking away at the welterweight champ’s approach to fighting.

At a media event Monday to promote their upcoming, UFC 167 tilt, Hendricks argued that GSP tries to “grind out a win” and that further (quote via MMA

“You go in there knowing, ‘Hey, I know GSP’s gameplan. He’s going to jab, he’s going to kick, and he’s going to try to take me down.”

So how does Hendricks plan to counter the jab St. Pierre has effectively utilized in the past to punish his opponent’s faces?

“That’s the difference,” Hendricks continued. “Punch me in the face, I’ll punch you twice as hard. When I’m in there, all my goal is to break somebody’s jaw. Let them forget who they are that night. Let them wake up the next morning and go, ‘What the hell happened?’ That’s my goal every fight. So if he’s going to sit there and try to do that jab, watch: I’ll bite on my mouthpiece, I’ll eat one to throw my left or right hand, all day long.”

The fight’s still a few months out and the buzz is already building. It should be a big one. UFC 167 will take place November 16th in Las Vegas.
