‘The California Kid‘ Urijah Faber (26-5) bounces back with a huge victory over former champion Brian Bowles at UFC 139 in San Jose, CA. It was Faber with the superior grappling and speed that gained him the W to be next in line for a title shot. Here is the full play-by-play.
Faber comes out feinting jabs. Faber leg kicks, Bowles counters. Faber throws a flurry that misses as Bowles ducks it. Faber lands a right hook after many leading uppercuts miss. Faber successful changing levels and landing to the abs. Faber gets in and attempts a hip toss but unsuccessful. Faber lands the double-leg but falls into a guillotine. Faber escapes. Unable to work from the position, Faber stands in a scramble. Back into the guard of Bowles as the round ends.

Faber comes in with a big uppercut that rocks the former champ. Down to the ground he goes and Faber is all over him. Bowles still rocked is able to make it through the flurry. Faber slaps on his infamous guillotine to finish the fight.
