Following a five round ‘controversial‘ war against heavy handed Johny Hendricks, Georges St-Pierre was quick to admit to the crowd that he had lost his memory in the fight (probably from the damage of vicious shots landed to his head early in the second round), but believed he earned the split-decision.
The exhausted champ went on to say that he was in need of a vacation after breaking the UFC record for most wins. When probed by commentator Joe Rogan about the extent of his leave, St-Pierre followed up by saying he would need to hang up his gloves for awhile.
The champ would of course then be further questioned if this was a permanent retirement, however unwilling to detail, St-Pierre repeats that he’s hanging it up–for awhile, at least.
Will hear in the post-fight press-conference shortly what UFC president Dana White has to say on the announcement from their top pay-per-view superstar.
