The ever-evolving card that is UFC 146 has now dropped another name from its roster. That name being the Brazilian heavyweight, Gabriel Gonzaga. With 24 days notice, the comical relief of Dave ‘Pee-Wee’ Herman (21-3 MMA, 1-1 UFC) has been swapped in Gonzaga’s place against Roy ‘Big Country’ Nelson (16-7 MMA, 3-3 UFC).

As of now, the UFC’s goal of UFC 146 being a full heavyweight card has stayed true. We will still witness five back-to-back big boys throwdown.

Unfortunately the shuffle has effected Nelson the most, as he will now have his third change of opponent, giving the former IFL champ about three weeks to prepare for a different style fight. Falling 1-3 against top heavyweights as of recent, Nelson will need to adapt, should he want to stay relevant in the emerging heavyweight division.

Nelson is not the only one in need of adapting. Herman faces another step-up in competition in only his third UFC bout after losing to Stefan Struve at UFC on Fuel in Feb. Performing for over 10 fight promotions, Herman is no stranger to change and will look to overcome the stacked odds.
