There may have been a famine of UFC pay-per-views as of late, but there’s still been other MMA action taking place in the interim. UFC vets Gilbert Yvel and Houston Alexander squared-off last night (Mar. 30) at Resurrection Fighting Alliance (RFA) in Kearney, Nebraska for the promotions second showing. The two known brawlers delivered in the main event with a KO finish that had the crowd and of course announcer Mauro Ranallo in a frenzy.
Following a slow start for Yvel, the knockout hook came in round two (4:10 youtube) at the hands of Yvel as Alexander face dived on the canvas. It looked to be a left counter jab that setup a viscous hook to the button. Ref. Herb Dean was quick to wave it off giving Yvel the chance to only slip one rabbit punch to his unconscious opponent.
