After just recently signing a new deal with UFC in 2009, Frank Trigg was notified on Monday that he was indeed dropped from the organization after his unfortunate loss to Matt Serra at last weekend’s UFC 109, via KO.

Trigg stated that he held off telling the media the news until he let his family member know. He also said he’s not sure if he’ll continue his MMA career outside of UFC.

After his loss to Serra, UFC officials felt it was in the organization’s best interest to cut Trigg from the welterweight roster.

Mark Coleman has been dropped from UFC as well since his loss at UFC 109, along with Tim Hague, and Phillipe Nover.
