According the police report made, a man who was believed to be Howard, was involved in a dispute at a Niagara Falls home. This resulted in an assault with an unidentified weapon on two victims [male and female.]  The perp then fled  in his car and “attended another residence” on the northern end of the city, where he crashed into car that was parked in the driveway. He then fled this residence as well. The victims of the first assault were taken to the local hospital, and are being treated for serious, but non-fatal injuries.

Police later tried to stop the suspected vehicle, but the driver refused and the police continued their persuit. The chase ended when according to the officers, Howard “intentionally” drove his car into the casino at 2 a.m. on a Tuesday morning.
“Thank God it wasn’t a Friday night,” Niagara Regional Police Staff Sgt. Shawn Clarkson told The Review. “We were extremely fortunate not more people were around. A couple of people had to duck out of the way, but we could have had some real serious problems there if it had been a few hours earlier or another day.”
