Lyoto Machida post UFC 113

Following UFC 113, medical suspensionions were handed out for every bout that night by the Quebec Athletic Commission (QAC) . Former  light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida received a 60 day suspension as a precautionary after receiving a viscous knockout by Shogun Rua.

Goulet also suffered a TKO by challenger Marcus Davis in the second round of their bout causing the local commission to  hand out a 30 day suspension.

In a big surprise, Patrick Cote and Jason MacDonald were only issued seven-day suspensions. Surprising, since Cote broke his hand in his bout and MacDonald had underwent surgery for a leg and ankle injury following his fight.

Precautionary seven day suspensions were given to Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, Alan Belcher, Joe Doerksen, John Salter, Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson, Matt Mitrione, and Tom Lawlor

Precautionary fourteen day suspensions were given to Jeremy Stephens, Johnny Hendricks, Joey Beltran, Mike “Joker” Guymon, Josh Koscheck, Paul Daley, Sam Stout, Tim Hague, T.J. Grant and Yoshiyuki Yoshida.
