As we predicted early yesterday, with the news of Kenny Florian forced to pull out of his fight against Evan Dunham at the upcoming Fight For The Troops II due to injury, the UFC was quick to respond with a replacement. Stepping in is recent Jackson camp addition, Melvin Guillard.

Normally the UFC has prefers to match two fighters coming off a loss, but that will not be the case as Melvin Guillard has been looking very improved since his move to the New Mexico, Greg Jackson camp with three straight wins in the UFC against top UFC lightweights.

With many seeing Evan Dunham’s only loss via split-decision to former lightweight champ, Sean Sherk as a controversial ‘robbery’, the match-up could be easily argued as a perfect match-up. The two will now headline UFC Fight For the Troops II on January 22 in Fort Hood, Texas.
