UFC middleweight Jorge Rivera reported earlier today that he has pulled out of his fight with Alessio Sakara at UFC 118, due to a broken arm acquired during training.
Rivera confirmed the unfortunate news on his official Facebook page and included a picture of x-ray.
“Due to the fact that I have broken my arm & will not be healed in time, I regret to inform you that I will not be able to fight at UFC 118 in Boston. I hope to be fighting again late Sept-Oct. Thank you for your support,” Rivera wrote.
It’s not known as of right now if Sakara will still be competing at the event or the fight will be removed from the card altogether.
