Jon Fitch (23-3-1), The man on a five win-streak in the UFC welterweight division against top contenders will once again not get a title shot. Instead he will be fighting Jake Ellenberger (23-5) at UFC 126: Silva vs. Belfort on February 5, 2011 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.

Interestingly, besides losing to the champ GSP, Fitch hasn’t lost since way back in 2002, from which he started an astonishing 16 straight win-streak. Most likely the reason Fitch is yet to receive a second title shot is because of his dominating loss to the current champion, and his lack of fights finished, and being given the title of a “boring fighter.”

Fitch will still have an interesting challenge in Ellenberger as the challenger has been on a two win-streak with wins over John Howard via TKO (doctor stoppage), and Mike Pyle by TKO (punches) in the second round. Pyle is also one of the only men to ever beat Fitch early in his career.
