MMA newbie and boxing champ James Toney recently caught up with MMAWeekly Radio and spoke of his wishes to fight current heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar, after he’s done fighting Randy Couture at UFC 118 in August.

“I couldn’t come in the UFC and fight a bum, or a tune up fight. I have to fight the best. I am the best. I wanted to fight Brock Lesnar, but unfortunately at the time he was sick,” Toney stated.

Toney went on to explain that he wishes to continue fighting in both MMA and boxing, where he currently holds titles in both the International Boxing Organization and North American Boxing Organization Heavyweight Champion. As well as fighting former light heavyweight and heavyweight champ Randy Couture next month, Toney will also be defending both of his boxing titles as well.

According to Toney, after he defeats Couture, he’s going for Brock Lesnar next, with whom he apparently has some issues with.

“I will be boxing and UFC champion at the same time,” Toney stated. “I’m officially a two-sport athlete.

“After I knock out Randy Couture, I’m coming for Brock’s b**ch a** next.”

Toney will be taking on Couture on August 28th at UFC 118 held at the TD Garden in Boston, Mass.
