Dan Hardy as usual has to find something to talk smack about. And with his upcoming fight against Georges St. Pierre, it isn’t a surprise that Hardy would choose him.
GSP recently released his very own 2010 calendar, and according to the fighter’s website, it’s already sold out.
When asked what he thought of it last Friday, Hardy took no time bashing on it;
“It’s awful- it’s really bad,” Hardy said. “You know, fair play to the guy for daring to put it out there into the world, he just opened himself up to a lot of criticism. He’s lucky that I haven’t managed to get my hands on one.”
And speaking of being in good shape…once again St. Pierre is saying he’s in the best shape of his life, but Hardy isn’t concerned in the least;
“It’s the same with all GSP fights- he reads from a script. Every fight he says the same thing: ‘Oh, I’m in the best shape of my life,’ and, ‘It’s the best training camp,’ whatever. It’s the same thing every time. The reality is, nobody knows how he feels apart from him, and I think he’s going to be feeling the pressure in this fight because I am a huge underdog and he’s supposed to win impressively, but the likelihood is that he’s at least going to be in for a war, and he knows that. Obviously, I’m confident that I’m going to be able to put him on the canvas at least a few times before I knock him out.
I just hope he’s not looking past me. You know, there’s been talk of him going to the 2012 Olympics and going up to middleweight and all these things, but he’s got a huge wall in front of him to get over first and it’s not going to be an easy journey for him.”
I really hope with all this hype Hardy doesn’t make a complete ass of himself…but then again, yes I do.
