Claude Patrick Signed to UFC

Former IFC Welterweight Claude Patrick (11-1) has been signed to a four-fight UFC contract.  The news was reported by Mauro Ranallo, host of the “The Fight Show” on Hardcore Sports Radio.

Patrick, a Toronto local will likely make his UFC debut in Vancouver in June. The UFC already openly said they will be trying to host more events in Canada in 2010, as a Canadian local would only grow the popularity of the UFC in Canada.

Patrick is known for his eight impressive submissions and nine TKO stoppages. Ironically Patrick’s hometown of Toronto has still outlawed MMA along with surrounding states. The UFC has been lobbying to change this and predict it may be any day now.
