The underdog BJ Penn has shocked us again with a big rebound from his two recent losses against new lightweight champ, Frankie Edgar. Penn Pulled the big KO win over the UFC hall of famer and longest UFC welterweight champ, Matt Hughes in seconds of the first.

With only 21 seconds passing in the first round Penn quickly came out and KO’ed Hughes with minimal strikes, not allowing the former champ land any of his own punches. Penn now has scoreboard over Matt Hughes in their trilogy with an exclamation point.

Penn now carries notable wins over Jens Pulver, Matt Serra, Kenny Florian, Sean Sherk, and Renzo Gracie to name a few. With Penn’s successful return to the 170 lb. welterweight division, Penn may now look to start a run to recapture his welterweight belt.
